Eindhoven, 13th of October 2010 - MultiFunctional Solutions inc (MFS) is one of the sponsors at the Airport Evolution 2010: Middle East hosted by ADAC. From the 19th till the 21st of October 2010 at the Hilton Abu Dhabi, UAE. MFS will present a unique fusion of a compact RFID cart and a stroller/mobility device designed to carry luggage, handbags, baby, infants and adults (PRM).
 
GR-01 RFID Airside Trolley
The RFID ready airside trolley, GR-01 is unique as it ads more functions to the conventional airside trolleys which results in more comfort for the passengers and higher ROI for the airport. Equipped with handbag compartment and 13 liter shopping basket, the GR-01 airside trolley is easily manoeuvrable and designed to also transport a baby, infant or adult with reduced mobility.
 
Transport a baby or infant
With a simple push of a lever the GR-01 is transformed in an baby cradle or a chair with safety straps/seatbelts for an infant. Enabling the entire family to have a comfortable and safe travelling experience. 
 
Transportation for an adult with reduced mobility (PRM). 
The MFS airside baggage card is perfectly designed for the group of passengers that require more attention and comfort. The GR-01 airside trolley offers a great option to be used as an assisted mobility device that can carry up to 150kg (331lbs), or as a convenient place to rest for PRM’s.
 
Passenger flow at Check-in points
The GR-01 airside trolley can assist in the processing speed of passengers at the various security checkpoints, because strollers no longer need to be checked at these checkpoints. Also by using the GR-01 a family member can take an elderly or family member with reduced mobility at their one pace to the required area in the airport.
 
Lower costs higher revenue
Manpower can be reduced by using RFID technology to locate and trace the trolleys scattered over the airport and not in use. Next to the operational benefits, GR-01 improves the Pax logistics and security at the airport by avoiding personnel from non-clean area to enter the clean area to collect the strollers at the aircraft door. While passengers can easily be managed to particular areas of the airport by the use of the RFID information screens technology and receive the latest information on screens on products being sold in the various shops, which can lead to increased non-aeronautical revenues. 
 
Tested & Certified
GR-01 can carry extreme weights and sizes and still maintain its manoeuvrability and comfort for both the person sitting as the one pushing. The hygiene of the cradle is taken into account and the materials are easy in maintenance and not flammable. MFS products are fully tested by TÜV Rheinland Quality and comply to the relevant standards and recommendations as EN Norms, and all the MFS products have the CE Mark.
